Successful bowling tournament raises funds for charitable causes including The Thin Gold Line Foundation

CANTON, MI, UNITED STATES, October 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Equature was proud to sponsor the 2026 Motown Invitational Classic (MIC), held October 2-4 at Spins Bowl in Canton, Michigan. The successful bowling tournament raised funds for charitable causes, including The Thin Gold Line Foundation, and gave Equature an opportunity to support mental health awareness for 9-1-1 call takers and emergency dispatchers.

Equature employees joined MIC committee members at the tournament, taking part in a weekend that connected bowling with community support. The company was pleased to partner with MIC in recognition of the people who help callers through emergencies and keep critical information moving between the public and responding agencies.

Call takers and dispatchers must listen carefully, gather essential details and communicate clearly while people on the other end of the line may be facing a crisis. They help determine what response is needed, relay information to responders and provide instructions to callers. The responsibility requires steady judgment under pressure, often across long shifts and difficult calls.

The Thin Gold Line Foundation brings attention to the mental health needs associated with that work. Its mission reaches dispatchers, supervisors, employers and the wider community, encouraging greater awareness of the support emergency communications professionals may need. Through its Resource Basket Program and online resources, the foundation connects dispatchers with information and potential sources of help. Its Dispatcher Assistance Program supports dispatchers and families during crises and emergencies. When resources allow, it also helps dispatchers access education on coping skills and mental and physical health through financial assistance.

For Equature, supporting MIC was a way to contribute to that mission alongside the company’s work with public safety agencies. Equature develops tools for recording and reviewing communications, training and quality assurance. Its participation in the tournament also recognized the importance of supporting the people who carry out that work every day.

Equature extends its appreciation to the MIC committee, tournament organizers, bowlers and fellow sponsors for a successful event. Their participation helped raise funds for charitable work and created an opportunity to bring dispatcher mental health into a broader community conversation. Equature was pleased to be part of that effort.
